Active Ingredient/the drug

Esomeprazole magnesium (20 mg/g) treats heartburn and acid reflux conditions by reducing heartburn and improving the healing process of the esophagus ( hiatus in the nameake up heartburn). If these occur, they can be managed with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) such as Adalimumab ( sojiva ) or Mucrelisporin A (Amoxicillin ) or with acid-suppressing drugs such as Diclofenac ( erythromycin ) or Trimip 20 ( now ) which is the same dose as Nexium 24HR Tablets.

These drugs are only used if symptoms of heartburn and other medical conditions do not improve before the treatment. Nexium 24HR Tablets should only be used in patients with heartburn, frequent heartburn and chronic heartburn that is bothersome or related to the stomach ulcer, infection, or other reasons mentioned earlier. For Nexium 24HR Tablets to work, you must complete an appropriate medical questionnaire (see “Nexium 24HR Tablets and other drugs needed”).

Esomeprazole is used to treat symptoms of gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GORD). If these occur, Nexium 24HR Tablets may help the healing process of the oesophagus ( hiatus in the nameake up heartburn ) and relieve these symptoms. However, Nexium 24HR Tablets should not be used for conditions such as Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infection.

Nexium 24HR Tablets is used for:

Gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GORD) relief of heartburn and frequent heartburn caused by H. pylori.

Instructions/Warnings

Nexium 24HR Tablets should not be used if you are allergic to esomeprazole. If you have a stomach ulcer, a heartburn, or other medical conditions, Nexium 24HR Tablets may not be suitable for you. Check with your doctor before using this medicine if you have:

• A heartburn that is not serious and that will not go away after treatment
• A heartburn that is not bothersome and will not stop, but is severe enough to affect your daily life
• A heartburn that is bothersome but is not causing any problems and that is not caused by a medical condition
• The treatment of an acid-related ulcer.

Ingredients

Each film-coated tablet contains Esomeprazole 20 mg.

Avoid the use of Nexium 24HR Tablets if you are using a prescription drug.

Storage

Store in a cool and dry place away from sunlight.

Contraindication Nexium 24HR Tablets should be used only when symptoms of heartburn and other medical conditions do not improve before the treatment. Nexium 24HR Tablets should be stored at room temperature (15°-30°C above absolute temperatures) away from all children.Storage Nexium 24HR Tablets should be stored in a container (e.g. plastic, calcium-fortified, calcium carbonated tablets, coated aluminium (aluminium-avored)) to protect it from moisture and light.

Description:Nexium Acid Reducer Esomeprazole Magnesium 20mg is intended for use for treatment of frequent heartburn (occurs 2 or more days a week). This product is not intended for immediate relief of heartburn; drug may take 1 to 4 days for full effect.

Directions for Adults Age 18+:Swallow 1 capsule with glass of water before eating in the morning. Take 1 capsule per day for 14 days. May take 1 to 4 days for full effect. Do not take for more than 14 days or more often than ever 4 months, unless directed by physician.

Warnings:

• Do not use Nexium 24HR capsules if you have an esomeprazole allergy.
• Keep this product out of reach of children.
• Seek medical attention right away or contact Poison Control if overdosed.
• If pregnant or breast-feeding, ask a health professional before use.
• If you experience any of the following, do not use Nexium 24HR capsules: trouble or pain swallowing food, vomiting with blood, or bloody or black stools; heartburn with light-headedness, eating or dizziness; chest pain of shoulder pain with shortness of breath, sweating; pain spreading to arms, neck, or shoulders, or light-headedness; frequent chest pain These may be signs of a serious condition. See your doctor.
• If you experience any of the following, talk to a doctor before using Nexium 24HR capsules: heartburn for over 3 months (This may be a sign of a more serious condition); frequent wheezing, particularly with heartburn; unexplained weight loss; nausea or vomiting; stomach pain
• Ask a doctor or pharmacist before using Nexium 24HR Capsules if you are: taking a prescription drug. Acid reducers may interact with certain prescription drugs.

• A burning sensation in your stomach or intestines (occasionally)
• Sore, irritated or painful blisters or ulcers in your hands, face, or body.
• A skin rash, or peeling, redness, itching, or, rarely, new- onset of diabetic ketoacidosis (increased ketosis symptoms).

Stop using this medicine and call your doctor right away if you notice any of the following symptoms:

• If you experience yellowing of your skin or eyes, a serious skin reaction, such as Stevens-Johnson syndrome, toxic epidermal necrolysis, acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis (atsonessional pustulosis), or acute generalised exanthematous pustulosis (AGEP)
• Sudden onset of fever, chills, or general ill feeling
• Severe headache, nausea, or vomiting
• Difficulty swallowing or breathing
• Trouble or sickine feeling (vomiting blood or pink tinge)
• Severe skin rash or blistering
• Itching or skin rash with eosinophilia
• Yellowing of the skin or eyes, especially if it is caused by medications or sunbathing
• Trouble sleeping, unusual irritability, or a good sense of
• Confusion or nightmares
• Severe dizziness
• Nausea
• Vomiting
• Constipation
• Dry mouth
• Itching or skin skin skin redness or swelling
• Itching or skin skin skin rash that doesn't go away, usually on returning from a job or a family member taking medicine
